VIVEKANANDA EDUCATION TRUST is a non-profit, non-discriminatory NGO committed to the lifespan education and empowerment of children and young adults. VIVEKANANDA EDUCATION TRUST was founded in 2003 by Dr. S.K. Mahapatra and a team of experienced multi-disciplinary professionals comprising of special educators, therapists, counsellors, skill trainers, among many others for the registration of a Public Charitable Trust registration no. I 2364.

The Trust now runs 8 units, among which 4 units engaged in educating local children‟s and youths‟ each offering to educate children‟s and youths‟ of the locality. At present near about 2800 Nos. students took admission in our different institutes.

VIVEKANANDA EDUCATION TRUST educates and empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to be dignified, independent, contributing members of mainstream society. The organization and its Founder have been recipients of many awards.
Our Story
In the year of 2003, an initiative has taken by a group of persons consisting of renowned personalities in the field of Promotion of Education and Literacy by way of Running Elementary and Higher Education School at Mechagram in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal along with a student hostel for Bengali medium school students, an old age home ant Naopala, Purba Medinpur, organizing Health Awareness , Promotion and Upliftment of the Health and allied Activities , Women Empowerment , Women and Child Welfare , Women Literacy , Livelihood, Health, Social Development and in the sphere of Administration for making concerted and noble efforts aimed to improve the overall quality of life of people, particularly the tribal, women, children, downtrodden and deprived sections of Society, living both in rural and urban areas, so that they are able to lead a respectable, healthy and economically self-dependent life.
